Mariella Graziano

Mariella is a physiotherapist, active in professional and patient associations, engaged in international multidisciplinary networks in the care of Movement disorders. Her clinical work focuses on the treatment of people with neurological conditions, vestibular and balance disorders. She is experienced in the management of patients with Parkinson’s through all disease stages and is committed to translating research into clinical practice via courses and multimedia tools. She was first qualified as physiotherapist in Argentina, later emigrated to Great Britain where she retrained as a physiotherapist. She developed a special interest in Movement Disorders at the National Hospital for Nervous Diseases in London and now lives in Luxembourg, where she runs her neuro-physiotherapy practice. Mariella gives courses for physiotherapists, other health care professionals, and workshops address to people with PD and their families. She is currently serving her fourth term office as a member of the board of the European Parkinson's Disease Association (EPDA). She is also vice president of Parkinson Luxembourg Association. Mariella is editor of the Health Professionals (non-Physicians) Movement Disorder Society webpage and is presently serving on the Movement Disorder Society Website Editorial Board for the 2013-2015 term. She has represented the Association Luxembourgeoise de Kinésithérapeutes (ALK) and the APPDE on the Writing Group of the European Guideline for Physiotherapy in Parkinson’s disease (2010-2013).
